A contemporary barn conversion

This project involved extensive landscaping around a large barn conversion.  The barn had been recently been totally renovated with a stunning new extension on the back.  The brief for the garden was to compliment the modern design at the rear, while maintaining the traditional look of the barn at the front. 

The project included:

​

  •     Paving work around the property using grey sandstone paving

  •     Gabion walls around the paving, filled with ragstone and capped with oak sleepers

  •     Soft planting around the terrace providing movement in the wind, and allowing a view through to the surrounding landscape

  •     Levelling and turfing all lawn areas

  •     Creating a wild flower meadow in an adjoining paddock
