Garden for a contemporary house in Blackheath
We had a fairly blank canvas when designing this garden for a contemporary design house in Blackheath. The garden consisted a small decking area adjoining the house, then a low retaining wall and steps lead up to the main area which was largely just lawn.
We were given an open brief to design a more inviting area to relax in and to view from the house.
We retained a smaller lawn, and created a paved area leading around the garden. The design used curved shapes to contast with the angular design of the house. This is highlighted by the long rendered wall which snakes around two sides of the garden.
The project included:

-
Feature curved wall rendered with a silicon textured, coloured render (no need to paint)
-
Paving with grey sandstone slabs and matching setts for edging
-
Stainless steel ball water feature
-
New planting throughout the garden
-
New lawn, edged with sandstone setts
-
Lighting throughout the garden, with remote control
